wondering if bringing an elevation view into the diagram would help, now could not tell if a light is being placed low aiming up or up above aiming down

Thank you for your feedback.
This is a feature we considered before launching the app but it would involve a good deal of work to provide that functionality. We came to the conclusion it would be easier and just as informative to add degree icons to the grid with + and - symbols so you'd simply add a +45º icon if an object is tilted up from the floor 45 degrees and a -45º icon if its tilted 45 degrees down to the floor.
Please vote this up if you'd like to see this feature added.

this is great, but I would lik eto be able to see the published diagrams by others (if then enable sharing or something?) the featured list is ok but limited. This could be great resource if you could search by keywords etc - thanks for a great syste

Thanks for the feedback Paul.
Whilst your idea has some merit, unfortunately searching by keyword requires that the user properly tag and categorise their diagrams, which not all do, and from our experience that type of system is open to abuse. Look at how Google have had to deal with people abusing the meta keyword tags to artificially inflate their rankings.
We will be taking a different approach, I cannot say too much here but we are definitely planning some search functionality.

Good day, I have a question regarding the export of a diagram. When I do that I loose the photo and the exif data. All that is in the export is the diagram. Am I missing a step? Thank you for your tool. It is simple and very useful.

Response from the site administrator
lightingdiagram, 09.02.2012
Hi Richard and thanks for your feedback.
There is an option to add the EXIF data to the diagram export, its a tick box next to the export button. We had thought of adding an option to include the uploaded photo too so we'll work on that.

ask ...

Dear LightingDiagram-Team, I want to write a posting and recommendation about your website on my blog. Now, just to get that right ... is it 10 $ for each download or 10 $ for the membership? (*) Thanks for the information all the best...

Thanks for the question Vicco.
In response to yours and other photographers feedback we have decided to lower the cost of hi-res exports to just $2 each.

Thank you for your feedback.
You will see we have now separated the publishing feature from the save dialog and renamed the 'SAVE' button to 'EXPORT' and there is a 'Login/Register' link top right when not logged into the site. When logged in there are now links top right to view your published diagrams, manage your account and logout.
It should be a bit more intuitive and obvious now that you can publish diagrams on the site in addition to exporting them as rendered images.

I changed my password to one with special characters. I was allowed. Now the login process doesn't allow to use it. I'm in a deathlock.

I can understand your frustration with the lack of diagrams in the Lastolite films, unfortunately its out of our control, although I have forwarded your feedback to their marketing dept so with any luck things might improve in future.
